On October 19, 2024, The Mighty Eagle Band competed at the Region 6 UIL Marching Contest in Odessa, Texas. This contest marks the first competition on the road to state! The band performed at Ratliff Stadium in Odessa, Texas; they put on an amazing performance, received a 1st Division Rating, and earned a ticket to the area marching contest. The Mighty Pecos Eagle Band was the first band of the competition day to receive unanimous 1st Division Ratings from all three of the judges.
The Mighty Eagle Band will compete next at the Area Marching Contest on November 2, 2024. The band has had a very successful season thus far. Their hard work and dedication will continue throughout the remainder of the season! If the band is a part of the top three in finals at Area, they will advance to the UIL State Marching Contest in San Antonio Texas. Come out and support the band at Dick Bivins Stadium, in Amarillo, on November 2nd.
