The PBTISD Special Education department is dedicated to ensuring equitable access to quality education for students with disabilities. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing personalized Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), providing specialized instruction and support services, promoting inclusive practices, collaborating with educators and families, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and advocating for the rights of students with disabilities. Through these efforts, the department strives to empower students to reach their full potential, foster a supportive learning environment, and promote inclusivity and equity in education.
