pecos high school class of 2024 top 10 percent

PBTISD is honored to announce that the following students have been recognized as the Class of 2024 Top 10%. Congratulations to the valedictorian, Bryant Le, and salutatorian, Jose Perez.  Congratulations to Marykaitlynn Vanzandt, Alexis Urias, McKenzie Taylor, Robert Nagy, Aaliyah Tagle, Brandon Labrador, Bryan Correa, Katelyn Zapata, Damian Lujan, Zackaree Alvarez, Aron Ruvalcaba, Isabelle Lopez, Giselle Hernandez and Yasmin Navarrete.

Valedictorian Bryant Le plans on becoming a microbiologist. For Le, biology is his study of interest, in which he hopes to one day obtain his master’s degree and freely research all sorts of microorganisms.

“Being named valedictorian has made me feel that my efforts and dedication through the years have finally paid off in the end,” Le said.

Throughout his high school career, Le has gone through ups and downs and has become more aware of himself. Academically, Le’s brother encouraged him to take dual credit courses. While it was a rigorous process, it was worth pursuing for him. “I was able to learn so much, expand and grow personally and academically,” Le said. He enjoys cooking, baking, gardening, and listening to music in his free time. He’s also a fan of Bluey.

Salutatorian Jose Perez plans to attend Texas A&M University to pursue a career in engineering. “Being named the salutatorian has been an honor beyond any expression I could make," Perez said.

Involved in multiple extracurricular activities, Perez is a member of the Mighty Eagle Band, Cross Country team, Business Professionals of America, and National Honors Society, to name a few. Perez highlights the staff and faculty for shaping his personal and academic growth. “The support and dedication these individuals provide have helped me grow as a student,” said Perez.

When Perez isn’t focused on school, he enjoys playing musical instruments, one being the baritone, running long distances, and fixing broken electronics. Perez says he will miss being involved within his community. “Thank you, my friends, teachers, and most importantly, my family,” Perez said. “I could not have done it without you all.”

PBTISD congratulates the Class of 2024 valedictorian, salutatorian, and top 10% for their accomplishments.
