text: cms track to re-open to public

PBTISD is delighted to announce effective Friday, February 2, the Crockett Middle School track and field will be reopened to the public after recent repairs due to vandalism. The community is invited to once again enjoy this valuable recreational resource.

The recent act of vandalism temporarily closed the track and field area, but thanks to the diligent efforts of our PBTISD maintenance team and the support of the community, the necessary repairs have been completed, and the facility is ready for use.

As we welcome everyone back to the Crockett Middle School track and field, we kindly remind the community to take pride in our facilities and to remember to adhere to the rules of the facility:

  • No bicycles, skateboards, skates, rollerblades, strollers, or any other type of wheeled vehicle allowed.

  • No gum, tobacco, sunflower seeds, and other food products are prohibited on the field.

  • No dogs or other animals are permitted.

  • Use of metal cleats is prohibited, except for track spikes. Plastic cleats only.

  • No golfing.

  • No glass bottles or containers.

  • No drinks are allowed on the field except water bottles.

Furthermore, please note that the field will be open to the public except during school hours, athletic practices, and/or school-scheduled events.

We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the integrity of our facilities for the enjoyment and safety of all. Let us continue to foster a sense of community pride and responsibility.
