district administration with chamber representative and phs alumni representative next to new phs boot

Eagle Stadium at Rotary Field has joined the Pecos Boot Trail with the installation of the Pecos High School Eagle Boot. The boot was made possible by the generous donations of Pecos High School Alumni and the TransPecos Bank of Pecos.

The Pecos Boot Trail is a public art installation commissioned by the Pecos Area Chamber of Commerce/Convention & Visitors Bureau in 2019. The Pecos Boot trail is a collection of 8-foot tall fiberglass cowboy boots, all hand painted by various artists. The PHS boot now joins the over 20 plus boots installed all around the Pecos Area.

Painted by artist Iamhilex Terrazas of Odessa, Texas, the boot is adorned with imagery representative to Pecos High School and PBTISD. The left side of the boot showcases the crest of PBTISD, the Pecos Eagle “P”, and a graduate with the phrase “Where Dreams Begin” painted in the clouds. On the right side of the boot, images of baseball, football, swimming, tennis, and band is highlighted. The front of the boot shows a mighty eagle spreading its wings.

Thank you to the alumni from the Classes of 1955, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1964, 1965, 1968, 1970, 1972, 1974, 1977,  1978, 1985, and 1994 for coming together to gift this boot to PHS and PBTISD.
