Capital Projects
Capital projects are construction projects not using funds from a bond. In the Fall of 2021, the PBTISD Board of Trustees allocated funds to be used for projects that were not included in the 2021 Bond. To date, PBTISD has been able to complete several projects with these funds. You can follow along with the progress of these projects on our Board Updates page.
Capital Projects Timeline
Eagle Stadium at Rotary Field
CURRENT STATUS: COMPLETED
In August 2021, the then 47-year-old Eagle Stadium at Rotary Field was deemed "not structurally sound" following a structural assessment by Ponce-Fuess Engineering. There was significant corrosion to the steel framing and cracking and spalling of the concrete to the Home and Visitor stands.
In October 2021, the Board of Trustees approved for the demolition and reconstruction of a new Eagle Stadium at Rotary Field.
The new Eagle Stadium at Rotary Field is now a purple palace to continue the long-standing tradition of Eagle Pride in Pecos.

This project reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in student-athletes and improving athletic facilities across the district.
PBTISD Administration Building

The new PBTISD Administration Building will serve as the central hub for district operations, housing six departments, including the Superintendent’s Office. The facility will feature an expanded boardroom to accommodate meetings and community engagement. A unique highlight of the building is a dedicated history space that tells the story of PBTISD through photos, artifacts, and memorabilia. Community members are invited to contribute to this display by submitting items through the Pieces of PBTISD initiative, helping preserve and celebrate the district’s legacy.
