On February 6, 2023, the Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD Board of Trustees approved moving forward with a $446,650,000 school bond election to finish the facility needs of the district. It included three propositions that PBTISD can fund without raising the current tax rate of $1.0605:

Comprehensive Additions/Renovations to Crockett Middle School
Comprehensive Additions/Renovation to Transportation
Professional Development and Parent Support Center
Proposition B ($34,270,000):
Replacement Pecos High School Natatorium
Proposition C ($800,000):
1-to-1 Devices for Staff and Students
